India Celebrates the 100th Episode of PM Modi's radio show "Mann Ki Baat"

The completion of 100 episodes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio show will be celebrated with an exhibition by well-known artists, projection mapping shows in iconic heritage sites like Red Fort and Konark Sun Temple, and Amar Chitra Katha comic books featuring individuals and themes mentioned in the series.

Mr. Modi engages with individuals through the monthly radio broadcast on topics and concerns of societal significance. Every month on the last Sunday, Mann Ki Baat is shown, and the episode airing on April 30 would be the show's 100th.

Most of the comics, biographies, and folktales in well-known children's books are based on religious myths, historical personalities, and epics. People mentioned by the prime minister in his program—those who have improved society daily—will be used for the Mann Ki Baat series.

All CBSE and Central Board schools will receive free copies of the comic books. However, according to Govind Mohan, the union secretary for culture, the publishers are free to sell the books on the open market. He stated that the government paid the publishers for the books at a price that was between 40 and 60 percent below market value.

A total of 13 significant historical and cultural sites across the nation, including the Red Fort, Chittorgarh Fort, Golkonda Fort, Sun Temple in Konark, Ramgarh Fort in Assam, Vellore Fort in Tamil Nadu, and PM Museum in Delhi, will host projection mapping performances with the theme of Mann Ki Baat.

The performances would start on April 29 and go for a whole month. Each of these landmarks will have its historical and architectural significance, uniqueness of the area, and diversity of India highlighted by projection mapping, much like the variety of themes covered by the Prime Minister in Mann Ki Baat.

The Jana Shakti, an exhibition of paintings with themes from Mann Ki Baat, was also organized by the Culture Ministry. There will be exhibits of the works of well-known artists, including Manu Parekh, Paresh Maity, G.R. Iranna, and Manjunath Kamath.

Anjali Ella Menon, a well-known painter, will open the show on April 30 at the National Gallery of Modern Art in the nation's capital. Water conservation, women's empowerment, awareness of the Corona epidemic, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and the environment and climate change are among the 12 topics.
